![]() Outlook 2016 Contacts Groups Missing After -Windows Mac OS X Address BookI think a disclaimer should be added to the product description. My only complaint is that the claim on the MU page “ It synchronizes with Mac OS X Address Book and other devices via iCloud“ remains as misleading as ever, since it wrongly gives the impression that CoBook is an iCloud client. (Note: if you want to use this feature on a Mac running Lion you can’t use Apple’s own USB modem, since its driver is 32-bit only, but you can pick up a third-party one cheaply). For some reason, Apple has never gotten the point about this feature: if you use Address Book to store your phone numbers, shouldn’t you also be able to use it to dial your numbers? CoBook is a very useful substitute for this lack. ITunes was acquired in that way, and look what a major part of the OS X / Apple business model that has become. All I can say is instal Cobook, enjoy, benefit, and give thanks. For my purposes, CoBook has become a lot more valuable since it has acquired phone-dialing capacity (via Dialectic or FaceTime). If the developer could turn CoBook into a genuine iCloud client, he would transform a very good program into a great one, which many many people would find indispensible. It isn’t clear what exactly this app does. O., has a very clunky interface because it tries to be too many things at once. At the moment, the only available one is SOHO Organizer, which is outrageously expensive and, i. Emulator for ios macLet’s hope somebody will put out an app which actually does what Cobook claims to do. When I read the developer’s description my initial reaction was “aha, here’s the solution,” but it turns out this is not the case. This is very bad news for those Mac users who can’t or won’t upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion, since it is well known that, once you have opened an iCloud account, you can either buy apps iCloud -friendly Mail and Calendar apps (Sparrow and BusyCal) or manually set up Snow Leopard’s Mail and iCal to log onto that account, but for Address Book you have to use the outrageously expensive SoHo Organizer, since there is some bug that prevents you manually creating a CardDAV connection from within Address Book. Since Cobook does not ask the user for his iCloud account name and password, it doesn’t seem to log onto iCloud itself, but presumably only piggybacks on your local Address Book connection.
